FINAL ASSIGNMENT:  First, I will have my students research a monument or memorial of their choice located in Washington, D.C.  They will need to search for a minimum of 15 facts about that monument or memorial using Google's search engine.  They will need to either print these facts out or save them using Microsoft Word.  They will then be asked to search for 10 pictures using the Google search engine under Images.  Next, they must save these pictures to their "My Pictures" file.  At this point, they have the option of using Microsoft Office Picture Manager to edit their pictures.

Students will then open Microsoft Publisher and choose the Brochure option.  They will then choose the color option of their liking.  They will then be able to view each brochure with these colors, which will make their brochure choice more visible.  Next, they will click on a brochure of their choice.  They will then enter their information in their brochure using the pictures and facts that they obtained earlier in the lesson.  The brochure can be set up in any format, however they must include their name, school and school address on their brochure.  Below is a sample of a brochure that I created on the Washington Monument.
