School Internet Policy
NEB's internet policy deals with acceptable and educational use of the interenet from both an appropriate use as well as legal use. It prohibits use of the internet for blogging, email, chat, games, and inappropriate websites. these would include pornographic, violent, and language/content. Even with the extensive filters we have in place, NEB has had a problem with students hacking and backdooring the network and blocked sites. Consequences are on 2 levels: those of a school nature, and those of a legal nature. Legalities involve police reports and school consequences in combination. For the student who simply breaks a school rule that is not a legal issue, the consequences deal with access denial on a progressive level: 45 days, 180 days, 360 days, and permanent.
The faculty internet policy deals with almost identical issues of appropriateness and professional use with a reminder of the legal issues involved in accessing and printing materials from the internet. Consequences are of course more harsh. They involve not only police for legalities, but discipline and notation in your professional file. Although not specific, one has to assume that with repeated breaks of rules, a teacher could eventually lose their job. I believe evidence would begin to show up on professional evaluations and observations.

Final Assignment
http://cuevasworld.pbwiki.com/8thGradeIntrotoForeignLanguage
I have created 3 pages: 2 are for Spanish, and 1 is for my new Mythology class. the Myth page is an intro page to the course with some basic info and pics and music. The World of verbs page is an actually 3 day lesson in one page w/ a link to a practice assignment and a web page that I use extensively in class. The 8th grade is a cultural page on a unique Mexican Holiday. I used the wiki because NEB does not have web pages for their teachers. The World of Verbs page, I created on the wiki. The other two I cut and pasted from Dreamweaver. I must admit, I like the abilities of Dreamweaver. It is a program I would definitely use both personally and professionally. Thanks to your help, I was able to edit some code and insert code for diagraphical marks. I believe it would take a bit more practice to get really comfortable with all of this. The only aspect of class that i did not apply to this project was the photo editing. I did resize photos but from within the web creator, and not an outside program.
Thanks for a great class and lots of help. See you next week for Power Point.
