Using search engines is something I have my students do for a project in health class.  They need to recearch specific drugs, and using a search engine is thier first step.

Athens Area School District Technology Policy

The Athens policy is very detailed and involved.  It covers almost any given scenario in terms of what is acceptable and non-acceptable use.   The policy even goes into great detail on computer etiquitte.   At Rowe Jr. High,  all  students actually had their school email privelages revoked because so many students were misusing the email and a lot of bullying was going on.

It was educational to see how complicated it is to use HTML coding.  It definitely made me appreciate being able to use programs that do all that dirty work for the user.  I hope to NEVER have to use HTML coding again!!  :)

I enjoyed creating a webpage using the dreamweaver program.   I actually wish my school district gave us access to that program rather than metadot because it is so much easier and fun to use.  Metadot is a little more complicated and time consuming, but I found that the more I used it, the easier it became.

This assignment helped me update and improve my school webpage.  I feel much more comfortable using the different features and am proud of my page.  I plan to keep it updated and to add more and more links and pictures to it and hopefully create a site that my students will want to access and use for educational pruposes and for fun!  Thanks Matt!!
