Final Assignment:
New and Improved Track Website
From the above link, you can page through the different pages within the track website. I worked on all of them a bit. Here I will list the page and then briefly describe what I did to edit/change it. These pages all have to do with my assistant coaching position for the track team. The page was a bit outdated and needed some love (so says Matt Tavani anyway), so I gave it some love.
Homepage - I uploaded a picture of track icons that I altered to have a gold background in Fireworks. I also attached a Word document of district results, and a link to the XC website.
Mid-distance and Distance - I gave it a new title, added a picture slogan for distance runners, and linked it to a website with excellent distance running videos.
Pole Vault - I uploaded a picture to give the page a little more pizazz.
Weightlifting - I added a weightlifting icon to this page and linked it to an informational site on weightlifting and nutrition.
School Records - On this page, I began by centering the spreadsheet so that it looked better and was much easier to read. Prior to this it was scrunched in and different sections were running into one another. I also added pictures to the top of the page. At the bottom of the page I added another picture and a link to the USA Track & Field Records.
Coaching Staff -I renamed this page and completely updated it. It had many of the wrong coaches names and did not have any pictures before. I edited most of the pictures on this page using Fireworks. I made the athletes in the pictures have uniforms with Wyalusing school colors. My fabulous instructor, Matt Tavani, created the green and gold runners that are posted next to the head coach's name and information. I updated the email links, and linked a few of the coaches' personal websites to this page.
Links - I added this page to provide athletes with more information on subjects related to track and field. I also uploaded a picture to the site.
That's all folks - let me know if you need any more information! Thanks, Matt!

Internet Policy Assignment:
To View Wyalusing's School Internet Policy Click Here
I feel that Wyalusing's Internet Use Policy is wordy, although it does seem to cover issues that are of importance to using the internet in school. One issue I see with it is that when it goes home to be signed by parents and students that they are most likely not going to read it since it is quite lengthy. Also, some of the wording may be difficult for everyone to understand. The policy does seem to cover the important issues involving the use of the internet in school, but my question is how it is enforced, or if it is enforced. In comparison with other school districts, our internet policy seems less comprehensive and much less lengthy.
