The Intro to a Foreign Language Power Point is an introduction for encouraging students to enroll in any language course. I did, however, infuse it with Spanish colors, sounds, and images to promote Spanish as their choice of a language.

The Quinceanera is a Latin American custom that is part of the first year curriculum. This slide show is intended to explain the custom and allow me to equate it with the European Debutante Balls and the modern Sweet 16. As I was a debutante, I have additional materials to supplement this Power Point. The music and pictures are to let them see that this custom lives on in the modern world and give them a chance to see what it is all about.

The Ropa and Math Power Point is for a project I do with my first year students. It is cross curricular. Students use their newly acquired vocabulary and some Math skills that they should all have. Till now, I had done this with handouts as examples and board work. I would still do extra examples on the board, but I believe this presentation might work better and be more visually stimulating.

The Pruebacita is a small review before a quiz on direct object pronouns. I used a template. I don't think it is as good as the self inserting action keys you showed us in class, but it has some possibilities. I believe this one is more group oriented.

One final comment about the Power Points: in the Ropa and Math. I have saved and uploaded the power point and the linked document several times. It works at home. Each item will open in you wiki, but the document will not open as part of the Power Point from your wiki. I have redone it at least 6 times and no longer have any idea why. I leave it as it is as it works from home and it works from the copy on my thumb drive.
