What is the text entered into the search box?

For the basic search, how many results are returned?

Using the first 10 results, how many appear to be useful?

Make links to three sites that appear to be useful.

Refine your search by using the advanced search features. What did you do to refine your search?

Are the results returned significantly different in number or content?

Compare and contrast the homepages for each of the search engines. What features do you like/dislike about them?

Compare and contrast the results pages for each of the search engines. What features do you like/dislike about them?

Which of the three do you find best? Why?

1. Graphing Equations

2. Yahoo: 829,000, Ask: 318, 400 Google: 2,990,000

3. Yahoo: 9, Ask: 8, Google: 9

4. http://www.math.com/school/subject2/practice/S2U4L3/S2U4L3Pract.html

    http://www.sparknotes.com/math/algebra1/graphingequations/problems4.html

5. Only .edu websites, linear on any of these words section

6. Yahoo: Yes 150,000, Ask: Yes 46,800, Google: Yes, 1,270,000

7. Yahoo had too much on the site. It was very distracting. The other two only gave you only what you needed to do the search. I didnotlikethe extra stuff that is on the Yahoo site. I liked that there is only what is needed specifically to do the search that is on Google and Ask.

8. I liked that all the sites gave us the websites listed going down. I also liked how they highlighted the sites that have already been opened from previous searches. I thought that the alternative wording for the search that the Yahoo and Ask sites gave. Google allows for more advanced ways to search and more drop down windows for people who don't understand the technical wording of the internet. Google would be the best for my purposes.

My Powerpoint Game

This game is meant to help the students prepare for the Chapter 2 Test in PA History.  My students would enjoy using the powerpoint so that they can review on their own.  It is good for me to help them review while I am working with other students.

My Excel Project
As a Learning Support Teacher who wants to keep track of weekly grades, Excel will allow me to keep track of grades and sort out how many students are passing for the year at that point.  It is important for me to keep track of student progress and to have account of grades for progress monitoring.

My Webquest

In this webquest, I created a project where the students will expand on the knowledge  they have learned about the cities in Pennsylvania.  They research cities in Pennsylvania and come up with a conclusion as to which is the best city to live.  They will present their findings and try to persuade their classmates that the city they chose is the best place in Pennsylvania to live.

 My Inspiration Project
In this project, I created a concept map which will show the major points of a chapter out of their Pennsylvania History and Geography textbook.
