 This is a powerpoint that I used to teach a unit on the founding fathers of Pennsylvania.   It has been useful in allowing the students to see the notes in a new and interesting way.  I needed a way to introduce the material to students without using the simple chalkboard.  My students have been very involved after using powerpoint.
