Our group project required us to take our project from unit 3 and complete a video for us to upload to youtube.
The Process:
Our group began by brainstorming several ideas for our group video. Once we all came to a decision, we began writing our storyboard for the video. We came up with the setting, plot, characters, and the roles that each of us would play during the filming of the video. Then we wrote a modified script along with cues and entrance and exit cues for each scene. We then took a whole afternoon from class to shoot the video. It took our group about 3 hours to shoot the video. Next, we uploaded the video to moviemaker on a PC and onto my Mac so that we could load it into I-movie so that we each had the experience of working with each movie application. Our next step was to had music, sound effects, and voice overs. Finally, we uploaded the video to youtube.

For my Pennsylvania unit for social studies, we do an I-movie project on human made and natural made wonders of PA.
For a geometry lesson, I have the kids make an i-movie about the different shapes and types of angles and they then explain the meaning of the shape and angle.
The final project that I have my kids do is a country i-movie. The students come up with broad research questions for two of six possible categories. They may choose to research about the countries government, geography, people, culture, history, and economics. The i-movie consists of a written script that answers their research questions and includes one to two action clips and then the upload pictures from books that they filmed or from the internet.
