I think it is necessary to include the DOs and DO NOTs in a district Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The DOs are obvious and are that a computer network system should only be used for education or work/researchreasons. The DO NOTs must include things like not downloading any files, giving out personal information or passwords, using language that is obscene or harassing, and engaging in any illegal activities. Sayre has one AUP for the elementary schools and a different morespecific AUP for the high school. A link for SAYRE's Acceptable Use Policy follows:
