Power Point Project

This project involves terms that are involved in finding the volume of a cylinder, and actually finding the volume with given dimensions. It would be used individually at the end of the unit on volume in our 5th Grade Everyday Math. Most students would be expected to get through this fairly quickly. I would use this as an assessment and training tool for students who haven't quite captured the concept in the classroom. It would be an excellent opportunity for tutoring and extra help also.

Excel Project

This project involved creating an Excel file to use in the classroom. I chose a 50 States format where I listed the 50 states and provided certain pieces of information. The rest of the information will have to be provided by students. This will be an almost year long project. Certain parts of the day will be dedicated to the 50 States page. Each student will need to finish the sheet.

Kidspiration Project

Kidspiration allows me to create various projects for students to complete. I have created an example cause and effect project for students to observe.

Cause and Effect Example.kid

This is the blank page I created to have a cause and effect sample for my social studies class to use during our studies of the early colonies and how they came into existence. We start with the Mayflower passengers and why they decided to start a new colony.

      The Mayflower.kid

A Kidspiration page on the 13 original states. Students are asked to cut out the states and paste them in their Social Studies notebook for future reference.

     13 colonies.kid

This is what the 13 colonies look like on Kidspiration moved together. There is no capabilty to rotate, and sizing is different. Students will just have to show a general geographical knowledge of where the states are located.
