Power Point
TYPES OF SENTENCES.ppt
Lesson Plans
Lesson 1
Using Powerpoint - I would use a nonsequential Powerpoint to review skills in English. When the students review parts of speech, we could use the previously created quiz in Powerpoint on the Smartboard or with individual computers. The nonsequential Powerpoint is applicable to review any skill in any subject area.
Lesson 2
Using Semantic Networks - Kidspiration is perfect to brainstorm writing ideas. When we start a writing piece, we can brainstorm and write our ideas in Kidspiration. We can organize our ideas in an outline. From there we can actually write and revise our writing before we publish.
Lesson 3
Virtual Technology - I would use virtual tours in Social Studies to help enhance the lessons being taught about states. I would use virtual maps to teach mapping skills and the locations of places taught. Virtual maps would be great for our study of Pennsylvania.
Lesson 4
Turning Point - I could use Turning Point to review information taught in all subject areas. It would be great to use in Spelling to check accuracy. It would also be great to check for comprehension in reading.
Lesson 5
Digital Cameras - These could be used to take pictures of rocks during our rock unit. We could use the pictures to categorize rocks into sedimentary, igneous, or metamorphic. Or we could use the pictures to identify the various rocks in our area. The pictures could be put in a PowerPoint for an individual review or a group review.
