Inspiration
Accounting Equation.isf In the beginning of the year, students have a hard time grasping the difference between an asset and a liability. Inspiration can be used to chart the two. As the year progresses we add subcategories to the 3 basic accounting principals such as revenues, expenses, etc. The new categories can be added to the accounting equation as each one is discussed.
PowerPoint
Using Office JL.ppt - This ppt. could be used as a final exam review exercise. After teaching PowerPoint lesson students could create a slide show using action buttons and links on a subject of their choice.

Excel
Excel Examples.xls - Excel is taught after MS word and we use it to incorporate math into our content, which is required by our district. Students can use excel to calculate what grade is needed on their final exam to actually pass their classes for the year. At Athens, the final is 20% of their final grade, making the calculation easy once their figure out how to put the math into Excel.
I also do budgeting with my accounting students, having them keep track of their spending for one week, particularly how much they put into the vending machines at school. Usually I just have them put this on paper but using Excel will make the expenditures more evident to them as they see their money dwindling.
