Introduction

 


 

Congratulations!! You have just graduated from college and are ready to start looking for a job.  Since you have just spent the last four years majoring in accounting, you are now looking for a job in the accounting field.  What job opportunities are out there? 

 

The Task


Before applying for any job, it is important that you research the company and determine what skills are necessary, as well as what  the company has to offer its employees.  You will be researching some of the job opportunities in the BIG 4 accounting firms.  

 

 

The Process


 Each group should consist of four students.  Your group will research the BIG 4 accounting firms to determine the job opportunities that are offered to employees.

  1. Determine the BIG 4 accounting firms by visiting http://raw.rutgers.edu/raw/internet/big5.htm.
  2. Use the Research link for each of the four firms.
  3. Search for information regarding what each company will offer you as an employee.
  4. Prepare a Powerpoint presentation presenting the opportunities that each firm offers to its employees.
  5. Each group member should present the information from one of the firms.

Now that you have done your research, you can see the many opportunities that are offered from the BIG 4 accounting firms.  When applying for any job, it is wise to research the job opportunities that are available in different firms so that you can find the job that best suits your future goals.
