I am a Title I Reading teacher at Lynch-Bustin Elementary in the Athens Area School District.  I am beginning my 28th year in education with the first five years at Sloan Elementary in Franklin Regional School District,  Murrysville, PA.  I'm looking forward to spending my BIG birthday at the MALL OF AMERICA in July.  I have two children (Lindsay - 20, Nate - 16) who are extremely successful in keeping my husband, Tom and I penniless.

Team I Project

We created a Powerpoint to explain Unitedstreaming and the many useful features it offers for educators at all levels.  There are so many things ways that this site can be used for and with students.

United Streamingfinal.ppt

Team II Project - Del.icio.us link

We created PRIMARY POSSE - a group of resources for Primary educators to use.  Included are websites with tags such as Literacy Centers, Reading, Math, Writing, Phonemic Awareness and Thematic Units.

Unit Transformation Project

I transformed a social studies unit on the Philippines.  By taking the information such as a country map, flag, geographic location, language, climate, capital and population I was able to create a "travelog" Powerpoint which is certainly more novel and interesting for my students.  I would use this type of project when I am co-teaching in a regular ed classroom.

Your slides are beautiful. The voice recording is really cool and is not something you see or hear in every PowerPoint. Great Job. PS Thanks for the mints.
