Welcome to our class!  I hope that everyone is able to take a great deal with them this week that they can use in their classrooms.  Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions.

About Me

My name is Matt Tavani and I work part-time for Penn State teaching graduate computer courses designed for teachers.  My full-time job is as a math and computer teacher at Wyalusing Valley High School.  I have been there for ten years.  Additionally I am the assistant cross country coach and the district's web master.

I am married and have five children.  They are all young and energetic.  This summer, three of them are in swimming lessons and loving it.  Hannah is a dancer. Dominic plays teeball. Sam is excited to go to school in the fall. Luke loves the movie Cars.  Jack was just born in March, so his interests, to this point, are still unknown.

Outside of teaching and being with my family, my interests include rock climbing, hang gliding, bungee jumping, kickboxing, ultra-marathon running, and chess.

I also have an unhealthy addiction to the TV series Lost.  I think about this show way too much and am very disappointed there will be no new episodes until late January or early February.

I recieved my master's degree from Wilkes University and have been teaching for Penn State since.  I have taught a series of courses, all of which have to do with technology and all but one of thme have been graduate courses.
