2.   A link to your PowerPoint idea or completed non-linear PowerPoint:  I am still somewhat unfamiliar with creating one on my own.  However, I would like to utilize PowerPoint to reinforce concepts in Reading/Language Arts and Science.  Some ideas that I have are a linear demonstrating the life cycle of a frog; a non-linear comparing/contrasting frogs and toads; and a non-linear reinforcing the four types of sentences.

3.  Lesson Plans:

Podcasting:  Podcasting is a great way to entertain while educating.  My main focus of Podcasting will deal with introducing new ideas by building upon background knowledge.  It can also be used to reinforce concepts and ideas.

Online Collaboration:  I feel that Wiki's can be a useful tool for online teacher collaboration.  By using Wiki's, teachers can pool their academic resources therefore generating a variety of instructional tools and activities.

Expert Systems (the non-linear PowerPoint):  I believe that non-linear PowerPoints can be a useful in reinforcing key concepts in a variety of subject areas.  It offers students an opportunity to study in a alternative way.

Virtual technologies and tools:  Virtual tours offer students an opportuntity to experience a classroom without walls.  By haboring virtual tours, you allow students from all social-economic backgrounds a chance to experience more places than their restrictions allow.

Matt,
Your presentation on frogs and toads was cool. We do a ceramic unit on animals after the holidays. That will be a great resource for the kids.
