United Streaming Power Point- Project 1

 United Streamingfinal.ppt

United Streaming is a great resource for teachers to show video clips and to find different lessons for all subject areas. It is easy to search for your grade and subject. I found many short vidoes to use before or after science lessons. Any school that is part of the BLAST unit has access to this resource.

del.icio.us -Project 2

My group and I are all K-2 teachers. We found websites that are very useful for grades K-2. We found websites for Literacy centers, Thematic Units, Writing, Math, Phonemic Awareness, and Reading.

Unit Transformation Project

 The Water Cycle power point-1.ppt

I made a power point about the water cycle. The First Grade teachers in the Athens Area School District teach a unit on the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Our culminating activity at the end of our unit is to go on a field trip to Mt. Pisgah and attend different stations where college students have set up activites for the students. At the beginning of my unit I start teaching about weather, which leads to the water cycle. In First Grade it is a general teaching of the water cycle. This power point has info. about the water cycle, a wonderful song to sing, and links to more info. about the water cycle. I am looking forward to using this in my class next spring. The water cycle can be confusing for First Graders, so I hope that this power point helps them to better understand the concept.
