Lesson Plans

These lesson plans may be used in a primary classroom.

1.  The above Podcast will be used in my classroom during September as an introduction to cafeteria rules.  My first graders will then brainstorm any additional ideas to making eating an enjoyable time of the day.

2.  I will use spreadsheets this year when tracking reading fluency and accuracy.  This spreadsheet will also track reading levels for all students in my class.

3.  Semantic Networks will be used in my room as a center.  I will use Inspiration in my kindergarten classroom for sorting with a parent helper.  In first grade I will use this as a tool for writing.  The children will visit a work station reviewing letter writing before heading to the Writing Center.

4.  Digital cameras will be used used for Science units.  Students will take pictures of a butterfly life cycle then as a class we will build a PowerPoint to share will other first grades.

5.  I would like to utilize the Turning Point in my first grade classroom for spelling, vocabulary words, and math facts.
