Susan Van Allen
I am a third grade teacher at Snyder Elementary and have been teaching in this position for ten years. I live in Waverly with my husband Chris of ten years and our three daughters. Kari is seven and in first grade. Sadie is five and in kindergarten, and Lea just entered her terrible twos. Living with the "drama" that goes along with girls takes up most of our time.
Course assignments:
Pod cast: My group which consists of Colleen Hanafin, Matt Visselli, Andy Watkins, Penny White and Greg Dehan constructed a pod cast on the water cycle.

Power point: I still need quite a bit of guidance to be able to construct a power point presentation on my own, but I would like to be able to encorporate them in many of my lessons. I would use power point to teach different ecosystems in science.
Inspiration: I would use inspiration for as a way of prewriting. We have doing a wide variety of writings and reports and inspiration would be a great way to introduce and use a variety of prewriting.

Digital Cameras: I have used digital cameras in my classroom quite often. They are great for bulletin boards, job boards, re-living fieldtrip memories. I have made class memory books and autograph books before.
